Patch Size: 2" x 3"

Established in 1980 as part of the Alaska National Interest Lands Conservation Act by President Jimmy Carter, Kobuk Valley National Park is accessible only by foot, sled, snowmobile or air taxi, making it one of the least visited parks of the National Park System. Within its 1.75 million acres, located entirely north of the Arctic Circle, the park features the meandering Kobuk River, massive sand dunes and the migration of a half million caribou each year.
